The Professional Development Committee exists to assist Galipatia students in furthering their professional development skills through the coordination of events. The committee holds an annual Engineering Expo Preview which is open only for Galipatia students. This gives our students an opportunity to meet with company representatives in a smaller environment to help them prepare for future career fairs. Slush Rush events are hosted weekly with the purpose of allowing students to develop their networking skills by talking with faculty and corporate partners while enjoying slushies provided by the committee.  Additional events such as professional dress fashion shows, corporate partner info sessions, and mock interviews give committee members the ability to host events pertaining to their areas of interest. The dedicated upper-class leaders on this committee are focused on providing fun, informative events for freshmen to gain skills and connections that will help them throughout their academic and professional careers.
